The ads on this app are ridiculous. I can barely do anything before one pops up, lasting 30 seconds to a a minute. And honestly, if you lost your remote, just buy a new one. I already see ads on my Roku screen and I know they profit off of their products, so why do they feel the need to have ads in a remote app? Restart the Roku — A basic troubleshooting step that resets its network connection and could get it working again.

You can check other sources such as a web browser or phone to make sure your network is operating but a reset never does any harm.
